Hi, I’m Jillian. It’s nice to meet you!

I recently graduated with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Digital Art and Design from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, and I am especially interested in the connection between design, research, and how people interact with the world around them. I am drawn to work that allows me to think creatively while also using data and insights to guide decisions. Throughout my time in school, I have explored this intersection through opportunities to run usability tests and analyze different types of media, including product packaging, website interfaces, and instruction manuals. These experiences strengthened my appreciation for how thoughtful design and user centered research can work together to create clearer and more intuitive experiences for consumers.

In the summer of 2024, I interned at SC Johnson with the Consumer Insights and Business Analytics team for the North American Pest Control Business Unit. During this time, I gained firsthand experience with how consumer research informs product development, brand strategy, and everyday business decisions. I collaborated with cross functional teams, sharpened my communication skills, and saw how insights translate into meaningful design and marketing choices.

Outside of school and work, you can usually find me reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, or exploring the outdoors with my camera. ☺

What does the future hold?

With a background in communication and digital design, I work best in environments that value creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. I am looking forward to growing my experience in design and research analytics, particularly in roles where both areas come together to inform meaningful, people centered solutions. I’m motivated by work that blends insight driven thinking with creative problem solving and allows me to make a positive impact on how people experience products, content, or brands.
